Hoffmann-La Roche & Roche Laboratories Wrongful Death Personal Injury Lawsuit Complaint Filed Over Lariam Drug

Parents Of Marine Who Allegedly Committed Suicide After Taking Anti-Malaria Drug Lariam File Personal Injury Wrongful Death Lawsuit Complaint In North Carolina Against Hoffmann-La Roche & Roche Laboratories.

A personal injury wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against Hoffmann-La Roche, Inc. (“Hoffmann-La Roche”) and Roche Laboratories, Inc. (“Roche Laboratories”) (collectively “Roche” or “Defendants”) in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, Western Division (styled James F. Bennett and Veronica L. Bennett, Personal Representatives of the Estate of Daniel Bennett v. Hoffmann-La Roche, Inc. and Roche Laboratories, Inc., Case No. 5:10-cv-446) alleging, among other things, that Roche supplied the anti-malaria drug Lariam to United States military for distribution to the marines stationed at Camp Lejeune, including plaintiffs’ son, and that plaintiffs’ son without any provocation, warning or evidence of problems, placed his issued 9mm Beretta handgun toward his head, inserted the muzzle into his mouth and pulled the trigger, committing suicide, according to the personal injury wrongful death lawsuit complaint.

The Hoffmann-La Roche & Roche Laboratories Lariam wrongful death personal injury lawsuit complaint reportedly alleges, among other things, that Roche failed to adequately warn plaintiffs’ son and others that Lariam allegedly causes suicide and suicidal tendencies and failed to adequately warn him and others of the risks allegedly associated with taking Lariam.
