Family of Man Who Died of Abdominal Wound At Monroe Correctional Complex Has Reached a $3.25 Million Personal Injury Settlement With Department of Corrections.
A medical malpractice lawsuit in King County Superior Court, Washington reportedly alleging that a man died of septic shock, acute pancreatitis and a perforated intestine after he allegedly failed to receive adequate medical care, has reportedly been settled for $3.25 million dollars.

According to reports, the man was recovering from outpatient surgery and was sent to the infirmary in the prison where the staff failed to treat his abdominal wound which had become puffy and was oozing.
