A Los Angeles County California Judge Awards $23,700,000 to Motorcyclist Injured In Collision With Hajoca HVAC Truck.

A motor cycle rider who filed a personal injury lawsuit against heating and air conditioning company Hajoca Corporation after he allegedly suffered a leg amputation after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with one of its trucks, was awarded $23.7 million dollars by a California state judge after an 8 day trial.

The motorcycle accident lawsuit (styled Steve O. Rojas and Sandra v. Acevedo v. Hajoca Corporation, case number BC689703), which was filed in the Superior Court for the State of California in Los Angeles County, reportedly alleged that defendant’s truck collided with plaintiff’s Yamaha motorcycle after failing to stop at an intersection.

The California judge reportedly awarded $22.5 million to the plaintiff motorcyclist for medical expenses, lost wages and other non-economic damages and $1.2 million to his wife for loss of consortium damages.
