Gainesville Georgia Zantac Colon Cancer Lawsuit Complaint Filed In The United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia

Jackson County Georgia Resident Files A Zantac Colon Cancer Lawsuit Case Against Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Sanofi US Services Inc., Pfizer Inc., and GlaxoSmithKline, LLC in Georgia Federal Court.

On February 28, 2020 a Jackson County Georgia woman reportedly sued various manufacturers and/or distributors of the popular antacid medication Zantac (known chemically as ranitidine) in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia (Gainesville Division), styled Bobbie Serviss v. Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Sanofi US Services Inc., Pfizer Inc., and GlaxoSmithKline, LLC, Case No. 2:20-cv-00056-RWS alleging, among other things, that she was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2018 after ingesting Zantac, according to the personal injury lawsuit complaint.

The Zantac colon cancer lawsuit reportedly asserts claims for strict liability against defendants for an alleged defective design, for strict liability for an alleged  failure to warn, for negligence, for breach of express warranties and for breach of implied warranties.

The Zantac lawsuit complaint reportedly seeks compensatory damages, punitive damages, pre-judgment and post-judgment interest, and costs including reasonable attorneys’ fees, court costs, and other
litigation expenses.
