Plaintiffs Reach an $8.15 Million Dollar Settlement With New Jersey Transit Over Train Accident.
Four individuals who were injured and the family of one person who died after a Pascack Valley Line train from Spring Valley, New York, reportedly failed to stop at the Hoboken NJ terminal and crashed into the platform, have reached a personal injury settlement with the New Jersey Transit reportedly in the amount of $8.15 million.

According to reports, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) ruled in 2018 that the crash resulted from the train engineer’s undiagnosed sleep apnea and the reported absence of technology called Positive Train Control that can automatically stop or slow a train.
