After a week long trial, the family of Rockford man who died after having a cardiac catheterization (a procedure used to diagnose and treat certain cardiovascular conditions) at OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony Medical Center was awarded $1.1 million dollars by a Winnebago County Illinois jury in a wrongful death medical malpractice lawsuit.
Spouse Recovers $1.1 Million Award in Medical Malpractice Lawsuit Over Death of Her Husband.
According to reports, the jury awarded the decedent’s wife $900,000 for loss of society damages and $200,000 for grief, sorrowing and mental suffering.
