A Clark County Nevada Jury Awards $29,500,000 to Woman Who Allegedly Suffered A Brain Injury After Having an Allergic Reaction to Peanut Butter At Magic Convention.

A Nevada fashion model who sued an ambulance company and others for brain damage she suffered after having an allergic reaction after eating ice cream with a pretzel topping containing peanut butter at a Las Vegas magic convention at the Mandalay Bay South Convention Center, was reportedly awarded $29.5 million dollars by a Clark County Nevada jury after a 3 week trial.

The personal injury lawsuit (styled Deborah Jean Giacalone v. MedicWest Ambulance Inc. et al., Case No. A-15-714139-C) that was filed in the District Court of Clark County, Nevada reportedly alleged that the emergency medical services provider negligently failed to have an intravenous epinephrine to treat anaphylactic shock which allegedly caused the plaintiff to suffer lack of oxygen which allegedly led to brain damage and quadriplegia.

Brain Damage Lawsuit Over Peanut Allergy Results in $29.5 Million Jury Verdict To Former Fashion Model.

The jury reportedly awarded $15 million to the plaintiff for pain and suffering, $12.5 million for medical expenses, and $2 million for lost income.
