Juul Vaping Lawsuits Filed In Federal Court Ordered Consolidated For Pretrial Proceedings in MDL 2913

Juul Vape Lawsuits Ordered Transferred to United States District Court for the Northern District of California for Coordinated or Consolidated Pretrial Proceedings Before Judge William H. Orrick.

On October 2, 2019 the United States Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation issued a transfer order transferring and consolidating certain lawsuit cases pending in federal courts against defendant Juul Labs, Inc. alleging that Juul marketed its Juul nicotine delivery products in a manner designed to attract minors, that its marketing misrepresents or omits that Juul products are more potent and addictive than cigarettes, that Juul  products are defective and unreasonably dangerous due to their attractiveness to minors, and that Juul promotes nicotine addiction.

The Juul lawsuits include both putative class actions and individual personal injury cases.  The Juul MDL is styled as In Re Juul Labs, Inc., Marketing, Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation, MDL Case No. 2913, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.
