The family of a father and son who died in a motor vehicle accident in Boone County on South Quarry Road near the Bloods Point Road intersection after their car was allegedly struck by a truck that reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign, have been awarded $9 million in an Illinois wrongful death lawsuit.

According to reports, the defendant Consolidated Materials admitted liability for the accident prior to trial. After the fatal accident in which both vehicles reportedly flipped over, the truck driver was also reportedly charged with reckless homicide and driving under the influence of marijuana.
