Family Of Appleton Wisconsin Toddler Who Suffered Severe Brain Injury In Personal Injury Truck & Pipe Accident Awarded $20 Million In Personal Injury Settlement

Family Of Appleton Wisconsin Toddler Who Suffered Severe Brain Injury After Being Hit With A Pipe During A Truck Accident Awarded $20 Million In Personal Injury Settlement.

A $20 million dollar personal injury settlement has been reached in a personal injury lawsuit in Outagamie County Court in Wisconsin against pipe rack distributor Boart Longyear Company of Wausau, pipe rack manufacturer Smeal Manufacturing of Nebraska, certain insurers and others (collectively “Defendants”) brought by the family of a young girl who suffered severe brain injury, including blindness and traumatic epilepsy, when she was hit in the head by a pipe that came loose from a truck when a pipe rack on a truck failed during a collision with her mother’s van, according to a personal injury truck accident lawsuit news report.

The Appleton Wisconsin truck accident personal injury lawsuit complaint reportedly alleged that the pipe rack was defective since it allegedly was missing a front stop and that straps alone could not hold the pipes.

The Appleton Wisconsin personal injury settlement reportedly will provide money to compensate the injured girl for a lifetime of medical care.

I feel sorry for the child but not as much as I feel sorry for the workers this obsene settlement put on the street because it broke the compnay. Apparently the plumber didn’t have his load tied down tight enough. Just as apparent is the fact this shlub didn’t have enough money to go after so the ambulance chasers went after the rack mfg. who did (even though they could not anticipate misuse of their product). Smeal also makes ambulances. What perfect irony. Ambulance chasers going after an ambulance mfg.
