Duval County, Florida Man Files Zantac Injury Lawsuit Case In Florida Federal Court Over Tonsil Cancer.
On October 9, 2020 a man residing in Duval County, Florida filed a Zantac cancer lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, enitled Charles York v. Sanofi-Aventis U.S. LLC, Sanofi US Services Inc., Sanofi S.A., Chattem, Inc., and Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Case No. 3:20-cv-1152, alleging, inter alia, that he regularly ingested Zantac from 1997 through 2009, ingesting the drug 4-5 times a week on average and subsequently developed tonsil cancer and underwent surgery in 2009 an again in 2018 to remove the tonsil cancer.
The Zantac tonsil cancer lawsuit alleges that the dangers that NDMA (a semi volatile organic chemical that forms in both industrial and natural processes) poses to human health have long been recognized and that the World Health Organization (WHO) has recognized that NDMA is carcinogenic. According to the lawsuit, Zantac may expose users to NDMA.
The Zantac cancer lawsuit claims that Plaintiff has suffered from serious and dangerous side effects after taking Zantac (ranitidine), as well as other severe and personal injuries which are permanent and lasting in nature, physical pain and mental anguish, including diminished enjoyment of life, as well as the need for lifelong medical treatment, monitoring and/or medications, and fear of developing additional health consequences in the future.
