Monmouth County, New Jersey Judge Approves $2.75 Million Dollar Birth Injury Settlement.
The family of a child who filed medical malpractice personal injury lawsuit against several doctors and the Jersey Shore Medical Center after their baby allegedly sustained brain injury, including, hydrocephalus, developmental disability and epilepsy, obtained approval of a birth injury settlement from the Monmouth County Superior Court in New Jersey.
According to reports, the birth injury lawsuit alleged that the baby was diagnosed with fetal distress which led to an induced labor and the baby being vaginally delivered but in a breach position. The medical malpractice lawsuit reportedly alleged that the baby should have been delivered via a Caesarian section or C-section.
Medical Malpractice Birth Injury Settlement Approved for $2.75 Million Dollars
Pursuant to the medical malpractice settlement that was approved, the baby was ordered to receive a gross settlement amount of $2.15 million dollars and the parents were to receive $300,000 each.
